Sirloin Tip Roast Sandwiches & More

One of our most favorite and versatile roasts is the Sirloin Tip Roast. Join us in our kitchen as we show you one of our go-to recipes for a delicious Sunday dinner or quick weekday sandwich.

Step One: Mix & Apply Dry Rub

Start by mixing a dry rub and entirely coating the roast.

Cross Bar C Dry Rub

1/2 cup salt

2 tbsp black pepper

2tbsp garlic powder

1 tsp Oregano

1 tsp Thyme

Watch this video for tips on how to apply the dry rub.

Step Two: Sear the roast.

Preheat oven to 250 degrees. Next, sear/brown the roast in a black iron skillet. (The roast should be allowed to come to room temperature before you sear it.) Once you have a good sear on the roast, place it on a roasting rack and then into a pan.

Watch this video to see the searing process.

Step 3: Into the Oven

Place the roast into the oven cook roughly 39 minutes per pound (2-3 hours). Remove the roast when the internal temperature reaches 135 degrees. Wrap roast in foil and allow to rest 10-15 minutes.
